I am honored to have been selected as a BlackBook Class Act, and am really proud to see my work in the non-profit community being recognized. Join me in celebrating this Tuesday, October 16th at Untitled. The event goes from 8p-11p and I’m guessing there will be some Ketel One cocktails for you to try ;)

The bartender that I had ‘a drink with’ (the Orange Whip 2.0) in our video is a really good guy too, so now you have three reasons to come out (his delicious drink, your third reason to attend, is sure to be featured).

What? BlackBook Magazine presents Chicago’s Class Acts
Where? Untitled, 111 W Kinzie, Chicago, IL 60654

The idea of “Make My Day Mondays” or “MMDM” is every Monday to make an effort to help someone in need. The distinction of “MMDM” is not to focus on a dollar amount or a specific organization, but to behave with a sense of strong morality and support for the community.

The heart of the idea is to donate anything to anyone or anyplace that is important to the individual. Whether it’s buying a homeless person a meal or volunteering at a local school, we hope the pay-it-forward idea becomes contagious.  By ‘tagging’ social media posts about your good deed with #MMDM, others in your network and beyond will be encouraged to look for ways to help others!

The new Chicago hotspot Hubbard Inn will host our 4th “Make My Day Monday” event. This month we are benefiting Team Hope’s Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

Like past MMDM events, donations will be taken at the door with 100% given directly to Team Hope.

The private party will be located upstairs at Hubbard Inn (110 W Hubbard, Chicago) starting at 6pm TONIGHT (2/28).

Hubbard Inn will be passing around samples of their delicious flat-bread pizzas and a cocktail reception featuring the “Hubbard Smash,” made with Maker’s Mark, until 7pm.

Chris Rongey, host of the Pregame and Postgame shows for the White Sox on 670 AM, The Score, will be there supporting the cause.

Bring your friends to come together for some cocktails to support a great cause and meet some new amazing people!

Make My Day Monday Event Benefiting Step Up Women’s Network

Make My Dad Monday

The idea of “Make My Day Mondays” or “MMDM” is every Monday to make an effort to help someone in need. The distinction of “MMDM” is not to focus on a dollar amount or a specific organization, but to behave with a sense of strong morality and support for the community.

The heart of the idea is to donate anything to anyone or anyplace that is important to the individual. Whether it’s carrying a stranger’s heavy suitcase up the stairs from the subway, pushing a car out of the snow, or paying for the person behind you at the grocery store, we hope the pay-it-forward idea becomes contagious.  By ‘tagging’ social media posts about your good deed with #MMDM,  others in your network and beyond will be encouraged to look for ways to help others!

We’ll be upstairs at Rockit (22 W Hubbard, Chicago), get there at 6pm when the free appetizers start ;)

Donations will be taken at the entrance for event. All Donations from the MMDM event will be given directly to Step Up Women’s Network.

Step Up Women’s Network is a national, nonprofit membership organization dedicated to connecting and advancing women and girls. By bridging communities of professional women and under-served teen girls through mentorship, networking and advancement, we ensure women and girls have the opportunities they need to create a better future.
